Nielsen taps Ryan Moore as Chief Business Officer of Gracenote

NEW YORK – July 17, 2025 – Gracenote, the content data business unit of Nielsen, has announced the appointment of Ryan Moore to the new role of Chief Business Officer for Gracenote, effective July 2025. Ryan will lead all go-to-market activities designed to drive growth and capitalize on near- and long-term opportunities in the rapidly evolving media landscape. Ryan will oversee Gracenote’s global sales, marketing and customer and partnership experience teams as well as drive alignment with its global product, engineering and content organizations.

This latest executive appointment reflects Nielsen’s investment in leaders with proven track records of actively innovating and evolving existing business models and helping media companies understand, adapt and utilize new technologies to attract new audiences, engage users and monetize content investments.

“As the leading entertainment data provider, Gracenote has a unique opportunity to help media companies reimagine how they connect audiences with the content they love and deliver cutting edge user experiences,” said Ryan Moore, Gracenote’s Chief Business Officer. “I’m excited to bring my deep experience with entertainment and technology to Gracenote to further expand our reach, enhance our offerings and create even greater value for our clients and the consumers they serve.”

Most recently, Ryan was Global Chief Revenue Officer of SuperAwesome, a subsidiary of Epic Games. There, he focused on helping brands and content creators leverage emerging 3D technologies to engage customers in new ways. In various leadership roles at Twitter, Ryan helped drive the service’s transition into a real-time video platform and led the team responsible for video product revenue which ultimately grew to account for more than half of the company’s overall income. And at mobile streaming company Quibi, he built go-to-market functions, tools and systems from the ground up as well as onboarded high-profile pre-launch partners.

“The media industry is on the cusp of a major transformation driven by AI,” said Jared Grusd, CEO of Gracenote. “Ryan’s proven track record building world-class go-to-market motions and scaling through innovative technologies makes him an invaluable asset as Gracenote continues to evolve its content solutions and empower clients to thrive in a rapidly changing industry.”
